What is Backup as a Service?

BaaS (Backup as a Service) is a comprehensive solution for self-service backup – management, monitoring, and restoration for all IT environments running in your organization. Our service allows you to backup IT resources in any location: in-house (on-premise), in the public cloud, in the private cloud or provider’s external data center.

The solution supports heterogeneous and distributed environments. It works according to the 3-2-1 principle, i.e., backups are isolated to primary environments in the indicated location – your local environment, public or private cloud, third data center, or Beyond.pl Data Centers, which Beyond Solutions uses.

Beyond Solutions remains responsible for always keeping the service ready. You manage the configuration and use of the platform and space – you have complete control over your organization’s backup process.

BaaS service scope

A platform for comprehensive backup of all environments – solution supports management, monitoring, accounting for used resources, and restoration of environments.
Scalable space for backups located in a preferred location – professional data centers recommended by Beyond Solutions or other designated locations (own infrastructure, public cloud, private cloud).
Telecommunication infrastructure according to the architecture and requirements established by the customer.
Backup software licenses for virtual servers, physical servers, workstations, databases (MSSQL, Oracle), container environments (Kubernetes), cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), and Microsoft 365.
Responsibility for keeping the platform up and running 24/7/365.
Reporting on services, licenses, and resources.

Supplementary services

BaaS consulting – support from Beyond Solutions in policy configuration, backup scheduling, backup management, and verification.

Service delivery model

Backup as a Service is offered in two variants:

Self-service BaaS – Beyond Solutions provides and maintains the platform and backup storage, while the client manages the configuration and use of the platform and storage space;
Managed BaaS – in addition to the above variant, Beyond Solutions takes over the backup and recovery processes according to the client’s security requirements.
