Distinction in the Best in Cloud Contest!

Beyond.pl received a distinction in the Best in Cloud 2018 contest organized by the editorial board of “Computerworld” (IDG). Beyond.pl was awarded in the „Secure Cloud” category with its product – Cloud for Business – a cloud based on VMware technology. This innovative service is built upon a secure infrastructure and architecture, autonomous environments in two locations and its own team of administrators.

“Data security is one of the key values for our company, that is why we are extremely happy that we have been awarded in this category,” says Bartlomiej Danek, Vice-president of Beyond.pl. “Additionally, the decision to award our solution was taken by a range of recognized CIO from different fields. It not only guaranteed the objectivity of the decision, but also proved that cloud computing could be widely applied in business,” Danek adds.

Cloud for Business is a safe and scalable IT environment enabling dynamic application, processing and storage of company resources in two data centers of Beyond.pl in Poznan, Poland. Clients can choose from two types of cloud based on VMware Virtualization – a dedicated and a public one.

Innovative features of the product as stated in the contest application:

1. The highest security standard of data storage in a cloud confirmed by the only in Central Eastern Europe Rated 4 Certification according to ANSI/TIA-942 for the Data Center 2. In both data centers of Beyond.pl, the security management system is in accordance with the ISO 27:0001. Cloud for Business is configured according to the best practices in regards to the resources protection.

2. Two autonomous VMware environments located in two separate locations connected by a redundant fiber optic ring, which goes through the main access points in Poznan. The standardization of environments is based on the VMware Validated Designs documentation and the creative work of the team of administrators of Beyond.pl’s virtualization.

3. A team of administrators with a 10 year experience in the field of managing of currently the biggest in Poland commercial VMware cloud (award for the biggest VMware Cloud Provider Program turnover in Poland in 2017).
