Colocation is renting a technical environment in a professional data center to securely maintain physical IT infrastructure. Beyond Solutions provides colocation based on the data center infrastructure of its sister company, Beyond.pl. How data center facilities are designed, built, and technologically backed up allows us to ensure physical, energy, and telecommunications security and guarantee optimal environmental conditions for the operation of critical IT infrastructure. All this is done to ensure that business is secure and operates without disruption (24×7). Colocation allows you to maintain your server hardware, arrays, or network equipment. If you don’t want to invest in your hardware, you can rent and maintain dedicated IT infrastructure in a colocation space. Beyond Solutions provides colocation services: single RUs, racks, boxes, or dedicated data halls. As part of the colocation service, we provide customers with logistical space (storage, unloading dock, and workshop area) and the technical environment in the data halls. You can also always benefit from complementary services such as the support of our experienced Service Desk and Smart Hands teams. Our technicians are on duty during shifts, conducting tours of the data halls and inspecting colocated equipment. What is the scope of colocation service? Space in professional data centers for the installation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, taking into account access, security, design, and environmental requirements; Electrical power for the uninterruptible supply of IT equipment and the maintenance of environmental conditions suitable for it. The electricity will be sourced 100% from RES. Power guarantee provided by 2 independent primary paths (2N) protected by 2 backup paths in the form of UPS and generators to eliminate any SPOF (Single Point of Failure) in the energy path to the IT equipment; Environmental conditions dedicated to IT equipment according to ASHRAE standards, i.e. temperature in the range: 18-28°C and relative humidity between 30-65%; Connectivity in the form of access to an extensive suite of telecommunications services (internet, networks, links); Physical security, i.e. 24×7 infrastructure monitoring, 24×7 physical security presence in the data centre, periodic business continuity testing, access control and CCTV monitoring; Unlimited (24×7) access to the collocated equipment after prior avocation, including access to social, office, workshop and storage facilities; Smart Hands or 24×7 technical support for the co-located IT infrastructure; SLA – 100% for power and 99.999% for cooling. Colocation models - choose the optimal model for your business Rack Unit (RU) Colocation of single servers and arrays in 47U cabinet. It is situated in shared data halls with guaranteed environmental conditions and power supply, and in MMR (Meet-Me-Room) rooms for telecommunications operators. Cabinet Colocation of the corporate IT infrastructure in a shared server compartment in 47U cabinet. The cabinet has a specific power limit calculated in kW based on the actual consumption by the colocated devices. The service is also available in MMR (Meet-Me-Room) rooms. Box Rent of a physically separated part of the data hall, which is dedicated and customized for individual customer needs. It is a professional environment for colocating IT devices, including standard space for 24 cabinets. A metal cage built for this purpose can be separated from the entire data hall, which separates the client’s cabinets from the rest of the shared space or possibly a kiosk (with corridor development). The design, arrangement, and parameters of the box are adjusted to a dedicated specification. As part of the service, the customer can manage power strips (PDUs) in their cabinets. Dedicated suite Rent an entire data hall exclusively for the colocation of the IT equipment of a single company with separate physical access, cooling, and power systems. Standard server chambers have the following parameters: area: ~200 m2, which allows colocation of about 100 600×1200 cabinets (depending on the arrangement), ability to support IT equipment with total power: ~500 kW (with an expansion option), height of colocation chambers: 6,56 m, ability to manage power strips (PDUs) in its cabinets. The arrangement and equipment of the server chamber are customized according to the customer’s needs. Still, the most common arrangement is cold and warm aisles (CACS) with structured cabling routing over the cabinets, which does not interfere with the cooling airflow of the IT equipment. Our partner holds the ISO 27001 standard listed in the directive, as well as ANSI/TIA-942 Rated 4 certification and EN 50600 Class 4 standard for data center facilities, operates following SOC 2 Type 1 and 2 – the international standard for information collection and exchange – and PCI DSS – the global security standard for the handling of payment card data. At the Data Center 2 the PUE ratio at full capacity utilization is 1,2. This outcome is unattainable for private server rooms or even most professional data centers.
