Key resources available in VMware Cloud service: Virtual Servers (compute) — this service enables you to build, modify and remove virtual servers (VM) based on shared vCPU and vRAM resources, mass storage and the following complementary services. Storage — the Client can manage disk space by means of virtual disks classified into four performance categories: TIER 0 — solution for a very fast databases, data mining and database cache — equivalent of SSD space: minimum performance of 3000 IOPS for every 1 TB of space; TIER 1 — solution for a fast databases, SAP systems, ERP systems and Sharepoint — equivalent of space on 15k disks in RAID 10: minimum performance of 1500 IOPS for every 1 TB of space; TIER 2 — solution for fast applications, big log archives, majority of databases, and quick access to files — equivalent of space on 15k disks in RAID 5/6 or space on 10k disks in RAID 10: minimum performance of 600 IOPS for every 1 TB of space; TIER 3 — solution for storing majority of files, operating system partitions and undemanding databases — equivalent of space on 10k or 7.2k disks in RAID 5/6: minimum performance of 250 IOPS for every 1 TB of space; Benefits Performance Fast and efficient infrastructure of the newest generation and an access to advanced VMware Cloud technologies can handle compute-intensive tasks and applications, massive data bases and analyses.
